Julia Reichel: Founder
“I have founded Arvensis Partners based on my strong belief that the Chief Sustainability Officer and her / his organisation will be the next strategic, emerging role in any CEO’s direct reports. As all major travel brands including airlines will need to work hard to renew their ‘social license to operate’, sustainability and a clear strategy to achieve it, will be joining the top objectives to ensure survival and growth: safety, security, service and sustainability’.
Julia has been working in the travel industry for over 20 years, starting with cabin services for a major flag carrier followed by entrance into its renowned and industry-leading jet pilot training program.
After the industry’s struggles following the events of September 11th, Julia stopped flying and served the market with recruitment & search services. She successfully delivered senior appointment searches for firms like Gartner, Frost & Sullivan, Research in Motion, Penna Consulting, and Corporate Executive Board to name a few. She also delivered the staffing strategy of an airline start-up from CEO through to cabin personnel.
Later Julia moved to strategic research services with firms like Frost & Sullivan, Gartner, and T2RL and spent the last decade working with Passenger Technology including AI/ML at providers such as HP/DXC, Radixx and OpenJaw before launching Arvensis.
Julia is passionate about sustainability, psychology, and solving problems. She has extensive experience in research & advisory methodologies and a deep passion for making the aviation industry sustainable which led to the launch of Arvensis Partners, where all her skills and passions unite under one brand and objective.

Dermot O’Mahony: Co-Founder
Dermot is a graduate of the University of Limerick, Ireland where he studied Materials Science. More recently he gained a Masters in Consulting and Coaching for Change which was taught jointly by HEC Paris and the University of Oxford.
In co-founding Arvensis, Dermot is driven to use his considerable recruitment experience in niche and science-centric industries to help enable the move to a more sustainable and equitable world. “I co-founded Arvensis with Julia in order to help tackle climate change through my work. I have been inspired by the words of author Robert Swans who said that The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it. Our focus at Arvensis is to help companies in their quest to meet their sustainability goals through hiring the right people who the leading experts in their field.”
Dermot started his career as an Industrial Engineer in the semiconductor sector using operational excellence tools like lean and six sigma to drive profitability. Dermot changed career and became a recruiter 16 years ago.
His recruitment work has focused exclusively on supporting clients in the science, technology and research sectors. His clients included BHP Billiton, Pfizers, Merck, Eli Lilly, Baker Hughes, BP and Shell. Dermot has worked on and consulted to Boards and leadership teams in their search for strategic talent to realise their ambitions. He has advised and partnered with his clients to successfully reduce the risks associated with the placement of senior professionals, enjoying significant success in sourcing and placing high calibre Middle Eastern nationals into C-suite and senior leadership positions. He is particularly passionate about discovering and supporting the diversity recruitment and advocating for highly skilled minorities.
Prior to co-founding Arvensis, Dermot worked with Aramco in a critical function to enable the hiring of industry thought leaders and executives. His role focused on recruiting the company’s most strategic positions, allowing him to work on over 150 senior positions. He played a key role in finding the senior talent required to enable the world’s largest IPO in 2019.
Dermot supports his clients with advice on the optimum organisational and remuneration structures required to attract and retain the world’s best energy sector talent.

Reem Al-Aryan: Senior Research Executive
Reem brings 13 years of experience in executive search & recruitment, 10 of which were spent in the UAE. During her time at Boyden, Hays and Transearch, Reem has acquired an enviable reputation for being a top researcher supporting searches for C-level positions for international and regional corporations.
Reem Al-Aryan has joined the team at Arvensis Partners as Senior Research Executive, supporting fast paced delivery of executive & professional searches for Arvensis clients.
In particular, her engineering degree and background in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, FMCG, Mining, and banking sectors allows Arvensis to increase delivery capabilities in its key markets.
